Narrative:
While on a visual approach, a loud noise was heard over both communications. It sounded like interference from another frequency. This occurred after we were handed off to bos tower. I could not hear any radio traffic. I transmitted but received no response. I returned to the previous frequency with the same results. I returned back to the tower frequency. The radio noise was still there. The last radio transmission I received was when I was cleared for the visual approach. I decided it would be safer to continue the approach and land, then to execute a 'blind go around' and re-enter the pattern. I could clearly see the runway and it was free of traffic, so I landed. After we cleared the runway, the radio worked fine and we re-established radio contact with the tower. I just followed lost communication procedures and followed my clearance.

Title: E145 CREW HAD COM FAILURE WHILE LNDG AT BOS.
Narrative: WHILE ON A VISUAL APCH, A LOUD NOISE WAS HEARD OVER BOTH COMS. IT SOUNDED LIKE INTERFERENCE FROM ANOTHER FREQ. THIS OCCURRED AFTER WE WERE HANDED OFF TO BOS TWR. I COULD NOT HEAR ANY RADIO TFC. I XMITTED BUT RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. I RETURNED TO THE PREVIOUS FREQ WITH THE SAME RESULTS. I RETURNED BACK TO THE TWR FREQ. THE RADIO NOISE WAS STILL THERE. THE LAST RADIO XMISSION I RECEIVED WAS WHEN I WAS CLRED FOR THE VISUAL APCH. I DECIDED IT WOULD BE SAFER TO CONTINUE THE APCH AND LAND, THEN TO EXECUTE A 'BLIND GAR' AND RE-ENTER THE PATTERN. I COULD CLRLY SEE THE RWY AND IT WAS FREE OF TFC, SO I LANDED. AFTER WE CLRED THE RWY, THE RADIO WORKED FINE AND WE RE-ESTABLISHED RADIO CONTACT WITH THE TWR. I JUST FOLLOWED LOST COM PROCS AND FOLLOWED MY CLRNC.
