Narrative:
After push back from gate at mia, we were cleared to taxi to runway 9L via taxiway Q. When reaching the intersection of taxiway Q and P, the taxi sign indicates taxiway P to the right and taxiway Q to the left. Turning to the left lines you up to continue left on taxiway T which crosses runway 12. I continued on taxiway T and almost crossed runway 12. I did not enter the runway and was able to hold short. I talked to the tower about this and they said that this is a problem area and four air carrier's have done the same thing in the last 10 days. Better signs are needed before someone gets hurt.
