Departure calls up and asks what altitude we are cleared to. We respond 15000 ft. Both pilots heard 15000 ft and followed company procedures. Center then says he thinks 14000 ft, but immediately clears us to FL230.

Narrative: DEP CALLS UP AND ASKS WHAT ALT WE ARE CLRED TO. WE RESPOND 15000 FT. BOTH PLTS HEARD 15000 FT AND FOLLOWED COMPANY PROCS. CTR THEN SAYS HE THINKS 14000 FT, BUT IMMEDIATELY CLRS US TO FL230.
