Narrative:
At approximately XA23Z, dec/xa/99, during taxi in to parking at nip, the DC8 crew of which I was a member had to maneuver the aircraft between a building and a DC9. We had wing walkers on all sides and we were following their signals. Navy man ABH3 X was on the right wing between the aircraft and the building. He was showing us signals of thumbs up and 'clear of the building.' he was holding his hands wide apart. ABH3 Y was marshalling us from near the power unit at our 45 degree area. ABH3 X never gave us any indication that we were near the building, and continuously showed us 'thumbs up.' I then looked at the other man, marshaller ABH3 Y. He stopped marshalling, ran toward the aircraft and signaled emergency stop. The captain then immediately stopped the aircraft. Supplemental information from acn 456932: I stopped the aircraft and shut down and evacuate/evacuationed my crew (3) in the cockpit and flight attendants and passenger from the aft. The aircraft was a DC862 'combi' (combination cargo and passenger). The wingtip is not visible from the cockpit.
