Narrative:
Aircraft xyz arrived at gate with the 'center autoplt disconnected' write-up. The last flight report on the mcdp (maintenance control display panel) showed the center FCC had failed. Avionic technical center was called to issue an MEL for the center autoplt and down-grading the aircraft for CAT approach. The MEL procedures were followed and the special procedures accomplished in writing in the corrective action block the MEL numbers and verbiage, I became concerned to note the center FCC had failed. After entering this I entered the CAT status required item and down-graded the aircraft to CAT ii/IIIA per MEL. I read the sign off asked another person to check if it was correct. Satisfied with my work and sign off I released the aircraft. The next morning on my way to work I realized I forgot to enter in the action block the verbiage 'complied with specification procedure XXXX.' the special procedure consisted of checking the FCC's for sensor data on the mcdp, checking the circuit breakers are in, and then pulling and collaring of the failed FCC servo circuit breaker. The next maintenance ron (routine overnight check) the FCC was replaced, a satisfactory R-5 card test relative to the FCC and autoplt system accomplished and the aircraft certified for CAT ii/IIIA/IIIB and MEL removed.

Title: A B757-200 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH THE CTR FLT CTL COMPUTER DEFERRED AS INOPERATIVE BUT THE TECHNICIAN DID NOT SIGN FOR THE SPECIAL PROC CHK PER THE MEL REQUIREMENT.
Narrative: ACFT XYZ ARRIVED AT GATE WITH THE 'CTR AUTOPLT DISCONNECTED' WRITE-UP. THE LAST FLT RPT ON THE MCDP (MAINT CTL DISPLAY PANEL) SHOWED THE CTR FCC HAD FAILED. AVIONIC TECHNICAL CTR WAS CALLED TO ISSUE AN MEL FOR THE CTR AUTOPLT AND DOWN-GRADING THE ACFT FOR CAT APCH. THE MEL PROCS WERE FOLLOWED AND THE SPECIAL PROCS ACCOMPLISHED IN WRITING IN THE CORRECTIVE ACTION BLOCK THE MEL NUMBERS AND VERBIAGE, I BECAME CONCERNED TO NOTE THE CTR FCC HAD FAILED. AFTER ENTERING THIS I ENTERED THE CAT STATUS REQUIRED ITEM AND DOWN-GRADED THE ACFT TO CAT II/IIIA PER MEL. I READ THE SIGN OFF ASKED ANOTHER PERSON TO CHK IF IT WAS CORRECT. SATISFIED WITH MY WORK AND SIGN OFF I RELEASED THE ACFT. THE NEXT MORNING ON MY WAY TO WORK I REALIZED I FORGOT TO ENTER IN THE ACTION BLOCK THE VERBIAGE 'COMPLIED WITH SPEC PROC XXXX.' THE SPECIAL PROC CONSISTED OF CHKING THE FCC'S FOR SENSOR DATA ON THE MCDP, CHKING THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS ARE IN, AND THEN PULLING AND COLLARING OF THE FAILED FCC SERVO CIRCUIT BREAKER. THE NEXT MAINT RON (ROUTINE OVERNIGHT CHK) THE FCC WAS REPLACED, A SATISFACTORY R-5 CARD TEST RELATIVE TO THE FCC AND AUTOPLT SYS ACCOMPLISHED AND THE ACFT CERTIFIED FOR CAT II/IIIA/IIIB AND MEL REMOVED.
