Narrative:
At XA41Z position yyt, aircraft X contacted gander center to confirm radar contact. Center confirmed radar contact and shortly after issued clearance to climb to FL390 as requested. At XA41Z after frequency change to 125.25, gander center contacted aircraft X to confirm course direct tusky. FMC was programmed direct plymm. A 2 degree correction to the right of course put aircraft X on course direct tusky. No further discussion ensued after confirmation to gander center that aircraft X was proceeding direct tusky direct plymm. Route and legs were confirmed prior to departure as per FMC procedure. Still unsure how or why tusky dropped out. Supplemental information from acn 457139: during preflight both route and legs were verified and stepped through by the captain and first officer. The waypoint tusky had somehow been eliminated from the active route.
