Narrative:
Accepted an aircraft with one of the static wicks deferred on the tail. Flew aircraft most of day. The next flight crew, after reviewing the maintenance logs, noted that the deferred static wick was actually on the top of the rudder versus the horizontal stabilizer -- in which case it was not covered in the cdl. As the first officer, I should have taken a more active role in reviewing the maintenance logs.
