Narrative:

Accepted an aircraft with one of the static wicks deferred on the tail. Flew aircraft most of day. The next flight crew, after reviewing the maintenance logs, noted that the deferred static wick was actually on the top of the rudder versus the horizontal stabilizer -- in which case it was not covered in the cdl. As the first officer, I should have taken a more active role in reviewing the maintenance logs.

Title: A CL65RJ CREW FAILS TO DETECT THEIR DEV FROM THE MEL AND CDL WHEN THE MISSING STATIC WICK IS ON THE RUDDER, NOT THE HORIZ STABILIZER.

Narrative: ACCEPTED AN ACFT WITH ONE OF THE STATIC WICKS DEFERRED ON THE TAIL. FLEW ACFT MOST OF DAY. THE NEXT FLC, AFTER REVIEWING THE MAINT LOGS, NOTED THAT THE DEFERRED STATIC WICK WAS ACTUALLY ON THE TOP OF THE RUDDER VERSUS THE HORIZ STABILIZER -- IN WHICH CASE IT WAS NOT COVERED IN THE CDL. AS THE FO, I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN A MORE ACTIVE ROLE IN REVIEWING THE MAINT LOGS.
