Panc-jfk, us. Navigation points verified on preflight checklist. Passing yoj VOR, FMS flew J513 out of yoj as programmed. We should have stayed on NCA13 to yqd. Passing yoj, yeg center asked us to confirm our route. We read back what we had filed. Center then cleared us direct yqd. No loss of separation indicated by center nor did he ask any questions. During FMS loading the 'versatile integrated avionics' function should not be relied upon for proper airway intxns. You must doublechk.
