Narrative:
WX at mco, rain showers. Approach kept us at 5000 ft MSL while vectoring us to final runway 36R. Cleared us for approach inside flozy 19.3 DME (orl) at 5000 ft with GS way below us. Glide intercept printed at silky, 3000 ft 16.3 DME (orl). This should have been out of IFR parameters. A go around was saved by VFR conditions and 15 KTS of headwind, some s-turns. Dangerous to require high descent rates at night and in the clouds. This airport is, in my experience, consistent with bad setups for IFR approachs.
