Narrative:
During takeoff and climb, the ovens and coffee makers in the aft galley where my jump seat was were going crazy. They were clicking on and off frantically. Just as we were about to call the cockpit to report the unusual occurrence, the captain came on the PA and announced that there was an apparent problem with the secondary electrical system and that we were going to land back at ewr. Problem was found and corrected. It took over 6 hours.
