Narrative:

Just before dark at my home field, my student and I were practicing lndgs in the pattern. A seneca from a nearby city, also with a student and instructor entered the pattern, and even with 4 sets of eyes and ears we could not seem to avoid a near-miss. Obviously, mistakes were made on both sides and the fact that both instructors were distracted by training duties was a major contributing factor...I could have announced crosswind which I didn't and I could have announced downwind sooner which I didn't. I also should have listened much more carefully to the radio.
