Narrative:
It was the second week of flying the same trip between mco and ind. Everyday the route was the same. The first officer got the clearance and when I asked about it he replied, 'same as usual.' since this was one of our most senior first officer's I trusted him to check the route compared to the clearance. Unfortunately he did not and after crossing the alma VOR we were to proceed via J46, instead we continued on J45 as we had done everyday before this the following week. ATC picked up the problem immediately and we corrected our course without any known problems.
