Narrative:
On jan/xa/00, I was on a VFR clearance with an instrument student flying practice approachs on the ILS to runway 10R at boi airport. While on the final practice approach, I began a descent on GS after intercept. A cloud approximately 2-3 times larger than the aircraft appeared to be just above the GS path. I thought the current descent angle would bring us well below the cloud. Instead I entered the lower 1/3 of the cloud and went IFR for 4-6 seconds. I emerged from the cloud still on GS and 2 mi from the runway 10R threshold. I continued the approach and it was terminated to a full stop landing. The approach should have been terminated when it was clear I would not maintain VFR conditions.

Title: A VERY LOW TIME CFI, ON A PRACTICE ILS TO BOI IN VFR CONDITIONS, ALLOWED HIS STUDENT TO PENETRATE A CLOUD FOR 4-6 SECONDS.
Narrative: ON JAN/XA/00, I WAS ON A VFR CLRNC WITH AN INST STUDENT FLYING PRACTICE APCHS ON THE ILS TO RWY 10R AT BOI ARPT. WHILE ON THE FINAL PRACTICE APCH, I BEGAN A DSCNT ON GS AFTER INTERCEPT. A CLOUD APPROX 2-3 TIMES LARGER THAN THE ACFT APPEARED TO BE JUST ABOVE THE GS PATH. I THOUGHT THE CURRENT DSCNT ANGLE WOULD BRING US WELL BELOW THE CLOUD. INSTEAD I ENTERED THE LOWER 1/3 OF THE CLOUD AND WENT IFR FOR 4-6 SECONDS. I EMERGED FROM THE CLOUD STILL ON GS AND 2 MI FROM THE RWY 10R THRESHOLD. I CONTINUED THE APCH AND IT WAS TERMINATED TO A FULL STOP LNDG. THE APCH SHOULD HAVE BEEN TERMINATED WHEN IT WAS CLR I WOULD NOT MAINTAIN VFR CONDITIONS.
