Narrative:
Received vector off of arrival and held up at altitude. We received a clearance direct to jhawk, cross jhawk at 12000 ft MSL. We were too high to make the descent point crossing restr and did not realize it until it was too late. At vmo and speed brake out, we were still approximately 1000 ft high.

Title: AN ACR PLT RPTED THAT, EVEN AT VMO WITH SPD BRAKES EXTENDED, HE COULD NOT MAKE A XING RESTR AT JHAWK.
Narrative: RECEIVED VECTOR OFF OF ARR AND HELD UP AT ALT. WE RECEIVED A CLRNC DIRECT TO JHAWK, CROSS JHAWK AT 12000 FT MSL. WE WERE TOO HIGH TO MAKE THE DSCNT POINT XING RESTR AND DID NOT REALIZE IT UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE. AT VMO AND SPD BRAKE OUT, WE WERE STILL APPROX 1000 FT HIGH.
