Narrative:
I was informed of an alleged potential for violation. The alleged discrepancy is that I performed an rii on an aircraft xyz. The discrepancy was an inflation valve lock pin was not removed from the valve cover plate after installation on the aircraft. The person who performed the work and I both agree that the pin was removed and used to secure the unsvcable unit. Since a pin can be found in a pouch on the slide, we feel that it was used to secure the slide at another date after being installed at ZZZ.
