Narrative:

Controller said speed of 250 KTS. We were at 200 KTS. So we increased speed to 250 KTS. Out of 10000 ft we increased speed to 300 KTS. Controller asked our speed and we replied 300 KTS. He said we were told to maintain 250 KTS. We never were told to maintain 250 KTS. Misunderstanding of communication.
