Narrative:
Immediately after takeoff, #1 engine lost partial thrust. Coordinated with ATC and dumped fuel at 10000 ft over lake erie. Emergency declared. Returned to dtw airport for landing. Suspect fuel control problem. Supplemental information from acn 462548: we continued to run #1 engine normally at a low power setting. Dispatch and maintenance control were notified. We climbed to 10000 ft and dumped fuel with ATC coordination. Supplemental information from acn 462546: we leveled off at 5000 ft to assess the situation and decided to return to detroit. Engine indications at lower thrust settings seemed normal. Climbed to 10000 ft to dump fuel to landing weight of 150000 pounds. Declared an emergency as a precaution and equipment was standing by. A normal landing was made.

Title: B727 HAS PWR LOSS ON TKOF AT DTW, MI. FUEL IS DUMPED, EMER DECLARED, AND RETURN TO ARPT IS UNEVENTFUL WITH ENG OPERATING AT REDUCED PWR.
Narrative: IMMEDIATELY AFTER TKOF, #1 ENG LOST PARTIAL THRUST. COORDINATED WITH ATC AND DUMPED FUEL AT 10000 FT OVER LAKE ERIE. EMER DECLARED. RETURNED TO DTW ARPT FOR LNDG. SUSPECT FUEL CTL PROB. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 462548: WE CONTINUED TO RUN #1 ENG NORMALLY AT A LOW PWR SETTING. DISPATCH AND MAINT CTL WERE NOTIFIED. WE CLBED TO 10000 FT AND DUMPED FUEL WITH ATC COORD. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 462546: WE LEVELED OFF AT 5000 FT TO ASSESS THE SIT AND DECIDED TO RETURN TO DETROIT. ENG INDICATIONS AT LOWER THRUST SETTINGS SEEMED NORMAL. CLBED TO 10000 FT TO DUMP FUEL TO LNDG WT OF 150000 LBS. DECLARED AN EMER AS A PRECAUTION AND EQUIP WAS STANDING BY. A NORMAL LNDG WAS MADE.
