Narrative:
Upon departure from runway 8 at fty we were assigned 3100 ft and 010 degree heading. We were then assigned 5000 ft and a 'left turn 150 degree heading.' as we went through 4500 ft we received a TA followed immediately by an RA.' so we leveled and descended to approximately 4600 ft in order to avoid the conflict. The controller then, in an extremely arrogant manner, criticized our rate of turn to which we replied we were avoiding traffic. He replied in an even more demeaning tone that we didn't conflict and he had us both on radar, however, he never issued this traffic to us and we are enhanced TCASII equipped. I called atl approach after arriving at our destination. Supervisor responded he would take care of this problem. This is the second time it has happened.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: CPR PLT HAS TCASII RA BELOW THE ATL CLASS B WHILE UNDER TRACON CTL. CTLR ATTITUDE WAS A FACTOR AFTER AVOIDANCE ACTION WAS TAKEN. A RECURRING EVENT.
Narrative: UPON DEP FROM RWY 8 AT FTY WE WERE ASSIGNED 3100 FT AND 010 DEG HDG. WE WERE THEN ASSIGNED 5000 FT AND A 'L TURN 150 DEG HDG.' AS WE WENT THROUGH 4500 FT WE RECEIVED A TA FOLLOWED IMMEDIATELY BY AN RA.' SO WE LEVELED AND DSNDED TO APPROX 4600 FT IN ORDER TO AVOID THE CONFLICT. THE CTLR THEN, IN AN EXTREMELY ARROGANT MANNER, CRITICIZED OUR RATE OF TURN TO WHICH WE REPLIED WE WERE AVOIDING TFC. HE REPLIED IN AN EVEN MORE DEMEANING TONE THAT WE DIDN'T CONFLICT AND HE HAD US BOTH ON RADAR, HOWEVER, HE NEVER ISSUED THIS TFC TO US AND WE ARE ENHANCED TCASII EQUIPPED. I CALLED ATL APCH AFTER ARRIVING AT OUR DEST. SUPVR RESPONDED HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF THIS PROB. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IT HAS HAPPENED.
