Narrative:

On nov/xa/99, I installed a fuel control on engine #XXXX, #2 position. I removed the connecting rod from the fuel control end of connecting rods only to facilitate removal and installation of the fuel control. I didn't remove the aft end at the xover shaft at gear box. Removal of aft end of connecting rod is not required for fuel control change. All cotter keys and safeties were reinstalled as seen on the video that is taken after the engine has gone through after test and checked by quality control.

Title: AN MD80 HAD #2 ENG FUEL CTL REPLACED BUT FUEL CTL INPUT CONNECTING RODS WERE REMOVED AND THE RIG WAS DISTURBED.

Narrative: ON NOV/XA/99, I INSTALLED A FUEL CTL ON ENG #XXXX, #2 POS. I REMOVED THE CONNECTING ROD FROM THE FUEL CTL END OF CONNECTING RODS ONLY TO FACILITATE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF THE FUEL CTL. I DIDN'T REMOVE THE AFT END AT THE XOVER SHAFT AT GEAR BOX. REMOVAL OF AFT END OF CONNECTING ROD IS NOT REQUIRED FOR FUEL CTL CHANGE. ALL COTTER KEYS AND SAFETIES WERE REINSTALLED AS SEEN ON THE VIDEO THAT IS TAKEN AFTER THE ENG HAS GONE THROUGH AFTER TEST AND CHKED BY QUALITY CTL.
