Narrative:
Flight scheduled to operate from bhb to bos, declared an emergency and diverted to pwm when the 'aft cabin door' annunciator illuminated shortly after leveloff at cruise altitude. Upon landing at pwm, the cargo door was inspected and found to be properly locked and in good working condition. Maintenance was apprised of the situation and the item was deferred in accordance with MEL. In compliance with MEL a flight crew member inspected and confirmed the door closed and latched prior to each flight and the fasten seatbelt sign was left illuminated. During the subsequent flight from pwm to bos the annunciator operated normally and no further discrepancy was noted.

Title: ACR FLT EXPERIENCES FALSE WARNING.
Narrative: FLT SCHEDULED TO OPERATE FROM BHB TO BOS, DECLARED AN EMER AND DIVERTED TO PWM WHEN THE 'AFT CABIN DOOR' ANNUNCIATOR ILLUMINATED SHORTLY AFTER LEVELOFF AT CRUISE ALT. UPON LNDG AT PWM, THE CARGO DOOR WAS INSPECTED AND FOUND TO BE PROPERLY LOCKED AND IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION. MAINT WAS APPRISED OF THE SIT AND THE ITEM WAS DEFERRED IN ACCORDANCE WITH MEL. IN COMPLIANCE WITH MEL A FLC MEMBER INSPECTED AND CONFIRMED THE DOOR CLOSED AND LATCHED PRIOR TO EACH FLT AND THE FASTEN SEATBELT SIGN WAS LEFT ILLUMINATED. DURING THE SUBSEQUENT FLT FROM PWM TO BOS THE ANNUNCIATOR OPERATED NORMALLY AND NO FURTHER DISCREPANCY WAS NOTED.
