Narrative:
It has been brought to my attention that while working at my previous employer, freight may have been misloaded and misrepresented on the load manifest. These occurrences may have happened numerous times at numerous locations. In light of the emery worldwide accident, many crews at air carrier have been wary of loads on board their aircraft. One such crew found their load to be out of aircraft limitations. This situation was brought to the attention of the load supervisor who informed the captain that the paperwork didn't really matter since the cargo nets were not in the aircraft. The captain, the union chairman at my employer, was the captain in this particular incident on feb/xa/00. He informed the company and FAA of possible violations. I worked at the air carrier from jun/96 to jun/99 as a flight crew member. I am unsure if any flts I was on during that time were misloaded or did not have the proper equipment installed, but in light of accidents in miami and now sacramento, I believe steps should be taken to verify cargo loads.
