Narrative:

Evening of mar/sun/00 at approximately XA30 pm. A B727 on gate ab with beacons on. Maintenance obviously onboard doing low power run-ups of an engine. Vehicles passing behind aircraft were not certain what was happening. Could not tell if aircraft had just parked or was getting ready to push. No guidemen or ground personnel in sight. The employee bus that I was on went behind aircraft. I thought we were going to get blown over. Maintenance should have taken aircraft to a pad in my opinion.
