Narrative:
Air carrier xyz flight from las to dfw. I was first officer on the flight. When we pushed back from the gate, ramp control told us to taxi to runway 25R via taxiway south, taxiway G and taxiway B. As we taxied out we could not see taxiway G due to darkness and the taxiway sign was not lit. We proceeded up to taxiway south looking for taxiway G but still could not see it. We then saw the runway sign for runway 19L and stopped at the hold short line. We switched to ground control. They told us to taxi onto runway 19R, then exit and continue to runway 25R. We found other taxiway signs unlit along with the heavy construction markers unlit. Along with unlit taxi signs, our B727 did not have a taxi light installed in this model. I have brought it to the attention of our company that all our aircraft should have taxi lights on them. Las, although under construction, should have better taxi lighting and procedures.
