Narrative:
Given heading 330 degrees to intercept J211. Heard and read back heading and cleared to FL350. Called back to verify heading, given 340 degrees and then told we were supposed to level at 17000 ft (climb was stopped at 17800 ft and taken back to 17000 ft, no conflict). Immediately changed to ZDC and climb clearance was issued to FL270.
