Narrative:
After touching down on runway 6 at gabreski, I had received no instructions from the tower as to a turn-off as the tower was communicating with another pilot. Therefore, I took the first left turn which turned out to be runway 1. I did not realize that I was turning onto an active runway since it was not marked at the intersection with runway 6, there was grass growing through the pavement, and the centerline for runway 1 was either faded out or non-existent at the intersection with runway 6. Upon making the left onto runway 1, I was immediately told by the tower to 'get off the runway.' I immediately turned back onto runway 6 and taxied down to the first taxiway and exited to the left. Because of my delay in exiting runway 6, the piper behind me did a go around.

Title: C172 PLT HAD RWY INCURSION AFTER LNDG AT FOK.
Narrative: AFTER TOUCHING DOWN ON RWY 6 AT GABRESKI, I HAD RECEIVED NO INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE TWR AS TO A TURN-OFF AS THE TWR WAS COMMUNICATING WITH ANOTHER PLT. THEREFORE, I TOOK THE FIRST L TURN WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE RWY 1. I DID NOT REALIZE THAT I WAS TURNING ONTO AN ACTIVE RWY SINCE IT WAS NOT MARKED AT THE INTXN WITH RWY 6, THERE WAS GRASS GROWING THROUGH THE PAVEMENT, AND THE CTRLINE FOR RWY 1 WAS EITHER FADED OUT OR NON-EXISTENT AT THE INTXN WITH RWY 6. UPON MAKING THE L ONTO RWY 1, I WAS IMMEDIATELY TOLD BY THE TWR TO 'GET OFF THE RWY.' I IMMEDIATELY TURNED BACK ONTO RWY 6 AND TAXIED DOWN TO THE FIRST TXWY AND EXITED TO THE L. BECAUSE OF MY DELAY IN EXITING RWY 6, THE PIPER BEHIND ME DID A GAR.
