Narrative:
We were landing on runway 9R at night with moderate rain. Touchdown was normal and I attempted to turn off at S4 highspd. It was pretty slick. We reported braking action fair and we were going to the next high-speed S3. Tower told us to 'expedite.' we did the best we could under the circumstances. I speculate (after a phone conversation with the tower supervisor) that at about that time he (supervisor) 'chewed out' the controller for having us 'expedite' under these conditions. I suspect the controller was distracted and failed to tell us of an eastbound business jet on taxiway south. As we exited on S3 we had all our lights on. It was pretty disconcerting when we lit up the business jet at south/S3 intersection. Way too close.

Title: B727 HAS CONFLICT WITH BUSINESS JET WHEN LEAVING RWY AT PHL, PA, AFTER LNDG ON RWY WITH FAIR BRAKING. TWR DID NOT ADVISE OF TFC AND HAD REQUESTED HIM TO EXPEDITE.
Narrative: WE WERE LNDG ON RWY 9R AT NIGHT WITH MODERATE RAIN. TOUCHDOWN WAS NORMAL AND I ATTEMPTED TO TURN OFF AT S4 HIGHSPD. IT WAS PRETTY SLICK. WE RPTED BRAKING ACTION FAIR AND WE WERE GOING TO THE NEXT HIGH-SPD S3. TWR TOLD US TO 'EXPEDITE.' WE DID THE BEST WE COULD UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES. I SPECULATE (AFTER A PHONE CONVERSATION WITH THE TWR SUPVR) THAT AT ABOUT THAT TIME HE (SUPVR) 'CHEWED OUT' THE CTLR FOR HAVING US 'EXPEDITE' UNDER THESE CONDITIONS. I SUSPECT THE CTLR WAS DISTRACTED AND FAILED TO TELL US OF AN EBOUND BUSINESS JET ON TXWY S. AS WE EXITED ON S3 WE HAD ALL OUR LIGHTS ON. IT WAS PRETTY DISCONCERTING WHEN WE LIT UP THE BUSINESS JET AT S/S3 INTXN. WAY TOO CLOSE.
