Narrative:
Once again on my first flight of the day hydraulic and elevator travel check, I came across a split of 4 degrees between the 2 elevator panels. 24 degrees on the left panel and 20 degrees on the right. Our manual allows for no more than 3 degrees. This is the 4TH time in recent months I have come across this problem. They canceled the flight and sent the airplane to be looked at. It makes me wonder if our maintenance is doing enough to fix this problem. Any problem with flight controls does raise a safety concern in my mind.
