Narrative:
After takeoff, departure control advised us that air carrier X mechanic thought something fell off our aircraft. All our indications were normal and we asked for more information. Approximately 30 mins into flight we were told a big piece of tire had been found from our aircraft. With all engine, door lights, quantities normal we elected to continue. We notified dispatch and stl maintenance. We requested emergency equipment standby for landing. We did a tower fly-by to confirm it was the right inboard tire. Made normal approach and landing. Had maintenance pin the gear and taxied to gate.
