Narrative:
En route around crg we received an amended clearance from center and edited our route on the GPS. Unfortunately, we didn't delete dix in the GPS, and continued en route to dix instead of proceeding to charleston. ATC called us with a heading and notified us that we were off course, and soon after instructed us we were to be direct charleston and to do so. Better crew and cockpit management would have prevented this and will in the future.
