Narrative:
Taxi, takeoff and climb all normal. Noticed nothing unusual. Approximately 20-25 mins after takeoff, flight attendant entered cockpit and said that a passenger said we hit a plane on the ground. Second copilot talked to passenger and told him while anything was possible, it was unlikely that we hit a plane without knowing it and all, but impossible the other plane was unaware also. From the time of possible contact, we taxied and held for takeoff about 20 mins and heard nothing from ATC or anyone. Approximately 35-45 mins after takeoff, our dispatch called and said we were accused of hitting aircraft on ground. We told of passenger story and got conference call with dispatch. We rechked all aircraft system, fuel, hydraulic, flight controls, trim -- everything normal. I had hand flown aircraft for takeoff and climb. No abnormal indications. With the facts that the possible aircraft contact was not reported to company until almost an hour after, and at this time damage reported was a broken rotating beacon, and the fact our aircraft was having no problems, we all decided it was prudent to continue to our destination. Upon arrival, aircraft was inspected and there was no damage found nor was there any indication that the wing had made contact with anything. Investigation continues. Conflicts to collision: our wingtip would clear other aircraft tail by 2-4 ft. Broken glass found in area by damaged aircraft not from our aircraft. Length of time reporting incident. No word from ATC. Possibly it was us. Don't know for sure. Don't think so.
