Narrative:
During beverage service, it was moderately turbulent. Fasten seatbelt sign was on. We encountered severe turbulence whereas I landed on the floor on my back. When I got up, I was in moderate back pain. All the flight attendants returned the carts to the galleys, and took their jump seats for the next 10-15 mins, then returned to duties. Although the captain did brief about a 'bumpy ride,' he didn't give any other warnings to passenger and crew. If awareness of aft cabin conditions are given to the cockpit (maybe a device), maybe they can be more empathetic and proactive to prevent injuries. The cockpit has no awareness of how bumpy the aft of B757/767 A300/B737 can be in comparison to their cabin.

Title: CABIN ATTENDANT RPT, B757, BOGOTA, COLUMBIA-MIA. SEVERE TURB, CABIN ATTENDANT INJURED. NO WARNING IN PREFLT BRIEFING. SAFETY IMPROVEMENT SUGGESTION.
Narrative: DURING BEVERAGE SVC, IT WAS MODERATELY TURBULENT. FASTEN SEATBELT SIGN WAS ON. WE ENCOUNTERED SEVERE TURB WHEREAS I LANDED ON THE FLOOR ON MY BACK. WHEN I GOT UP, I WAS IN MODERATE BACK PAIN. ALL THE FLT ATTENDANTS RETURNED THE CARTS TO THE GALLEYS, AND TOOK THEIR JUMP SEATS FOR THE NEXT 10-15 MINS, THEN RETURNED TO DUTIES. ALTHOUGH THE CAPT DID BRIEF ABOUT A 'BUMPY RIDE,' HE DIDN'T GIVE ANY OTHER WARNINGS TO PAX AND CREW.
