Narrative:
I was cleared to taxi from the south ramp at gmu to runway 28 via taxiway D, cleared across runway 19. I began my taxi and was asked to copy my IFR clearance. I stopped the aircraft at the intersection at txwys D and G and copied my clearance. After confirming my readback the controller instructed me to taxi to runway 28. I inadvertently took taxiway G and crossed runway 28. The controller stopped another aircraft from taking off and informed me of the situation. 2 things I will do in the future to prevent recurrence of this happening again. I will write down all clrncs including taxi instructions and will have the airport diagram in front of me when moving the aircraft. Had I written down my taxi instructions and referenced to the diagram this would not have occurred.
