Narrative:
Smoke was observed coming from entertainment equipment console. First officer donned oxygen mask and goggles. Power switches at console were turned off. Circuit breakers in cockpit were pulled. QRH checklist and pom were consulted for smoke evacuate/evacuation procedures. Smoke abated and clearance was requested and received to proceed to shannon, ireland. Maintenance personnel removed affected equipment, including some items of debris in the console interior. After approximately 2 hours, we were redispatched to bru without further incident. Comment: the debris in the equipment console was thought to have restr normal cooling airflow to the electronic equipment. Suggestion: clean consoles more often.
