Narrative:
Dec/wed/99 aircraft was released from maintenance with a 'release form' from a citation service center (ZZZ). The incorrect windshield bleed air valve was installed. The valve failed open at the same time the regulator failed (maximum). The work was signed off by an ia. We did not verify the part number on our own. The valves failed apr/tue/00.

Title: A CESSNA CITATION 550 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH THE INCORRECT WINDSHIELD HEAT VALVE INSTALLED.
Narrative: DEC/WED/99 ACFT WAS RELEASED FROM MAINT WITH A 'RELEASE FORM' FROM A CITATION SVC CTR (ZZZ). THE INCORRECT WINDSHIELD BLEED AIR VALVE WAS INSTALLED. THE VALVE FAILED OPEN AT THE SAME TIME THE REGULATOR FAILED (MAX). THE WORK WAS SIGNED OFF BY AN IA. WE DID NOT VERIFY THE PART NUMBER ON OUR OWN. THE VALVES FAILED APR/TUE/00.
