Narrative:
Fuel truck pulled into normal position in front of right wing. Ramp agents instructed him to repos behind wing so they could park another aircraft. Fueler then parked 8000 gallon truck 20 ft from operating APU exhaust. When we saw the situation, we immediately shut down the APU, and proceeded to advise ramp agents and fueler of the hazard.
