Narrative:
Upon missed approach from acq during IFR recurrency flight, I was instructed to climb to and maintain 3000 ft MSL. During climb out, I was distraction from my scan when rechking the ADF frequency for ILS runway 30 at owa. I inadvertently climbed to 3600 ft when I was asked by ZMP to verify correct kollsman setting of altimeter, I advised ATC I was at 3600 ft and would immediately correct to 3000 ft.

Title: A CFI, SHOOTING THE MISSED AT ACQ, OVERSHOT HIS ALT DURING AN IFR RECURRENCY CHK.
Narrative: UPON MISSED APCH FROM ACQ DURING IFR RECURRENCY FLT, I WAS INSTRUCTED TO CLB TO AND MAINTAIN 3000 FT MSL. DURING CLBOUT, I WAS DISTR FROM MY SCAN WHEN RECHKING THE ADF FREQ FOR ILS RWY 30 AT OWA.
