ZZZ, us. I inspected work of engineering change order yxxx-awy page xx, and I found the work was done per the paperwork. The safety pin was not installed at that time. Abc, us, aircraft was inspected by the FAA and they found the safety pin was installed in L1 door slide/raft bottle.

Title: A B757-200 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH L1 PAX DOOR EMER SLIDE RAFT DOOR BOTTLE PINNED IN THE INOP CONDITION.
Narrative: ZZZ, US. I INSPECTED WORK OF ENGINEERING CHANGE ORDER YXXX-AWY PAGE XX, AND I FOUND THE WORK WAS DONE PER THE PAPERWORK. THE SAFETY PIN WAS NOT INSTALLED AT THAT TIME. ABC, US, ACFT WAS INSPECTED BY THE FAA AND THEY FOUND THE SAFETY PIN WAS INSTALLED IN L1 DOOR SLIDE/RAFT BOTTLE.
