Narrative:
During leveloff from climb at 2800 ft MSL, while under floor of class B airspace (dfw) cabin door 'popped' open due to failure of upper door lock assembly. While grasping for charts which were being blown about the cabin (several departed aircraft) altitude drifted up to 3100 ft MSL for 10-15 seconds which would penetrate the 3000 ft MSL floor of class B. Condition was immediately corrected upon notice. Corrective action: 1) use autoplt in this area, 2) suggest raising floor of class B to 3500 ft MSL in this area due to the presence of numerous antennas, which rise to 1350 ft MSL which cause VFR traffic to be 'sandwiched' close to the bottom of the class B airspace (possibly adding an additional 3500 ft MSL tier at 16 DME would work) approximately between towers and class B airspace.
