Narrative:
Aircraft xyz outbound flight apr/mon/00, was delayed at the gate while inspection was proofreading some film collected from the engine isotope done prior that evening. Myself and 2 fellow technicians were in charge of that aircraft that night. When the isotope/borescope were completed by inspection we were told to close and leak check the engine which we did. My partner, in charge of said engine and paperwork, told me everything was done and aircraft was to be taken to the gate for departure, so I signed the airworthiness and aircraft was taken to the gate. Unbeknown to me, isotope film was still being scrutinized by inspection. As bad as I want to point a finger, I'm not going to. But whenever I signed that airworthiness that day I honestly thought everything was ok.
