Narrative:
The aircraft was xyz. I was the lead. My mechanics changed an APU and they were having problems. Trip time was coming to be a problem and the foreman was putting pressure to get the plane to the gate and with the pressure involved, mechanic left a tool on the wheel well and the wheel well door did not want to open at gate to finish the APU work and the plane took a delay.

Title: A B727-200 INCURRED A DELAY DUE TO BEING UNABLE TO OPEN THE R MAIN LNDG GEAR DOOR CAUSED BY A MISPLACED TOOL USED DURING AN APU REPLACEMENT.
Narrative: THE ACFT WAS XYZ. I WAS THE LEAD. MY MECHS CHANGED AN APU AND THEY WERE HAVING PROBS. TRIP TIME WAS COMING TO BE A PROB AND THE FOREMAN WAS PUTTING PRESSURE TO GET THE PLANE TO THE GATE AND WITH THE PRESSURE INVOLVED, MECH LEFT A TOOL ON THE WHEEL WELL AND THE WHEEL WELL DOOR DID NOT WANT TO OPEN AT GATE TO FINISH THE APU WORK AND THE PLANE TOOK A DELAY.
