Narrative:
Upon leveling at 6000 ft on the bluegrass 3 SID. Runway 27, had a compressor stall in the right engine. Declared an emergency and returned to cvg, landing runway 18R. Accomplished abnormal. There were no engine exceedances, so operated engine at idle until clearing the active.

Title: A B757-200 IS MANDATED TO RETURN LAND AFTER EXPERIENCING A COMPRESSOR STALL AT 6000 FT AFTER DEPARTING CVG, OH.
Narrative: UPON LEVELING AT 6000 FT ON THE BLUEGRASS 3 SID. RWY 27, HAD A COMPRESSOR STALL IN THE R ENG. DECLARED AN EMER AND RETURNED TO CVG, LNDG RWY 18R. ACCOMPLISHED ABNORMAL. THERE WERE NO ENG EXCEEDANCES, SO OPERATED ENG AT IDLE UNTIL CLRING THE ACTIVE.
