Narrative:
At approximately XA00, I was notified by the supervisor that ZZZ would be calling for an MEL authority/authorized to defer the r-hand thrust reverser per MEL 78-01 on this aircraft. The reason given was that the job card xvx check had failed, but since 25 hours remained until the 'B' check was actually due, we would defer the thrust reverser for up to that time. The MEL was issued, but I did not check the job card myself. Upon my arrival at work the following evening, it was brought to my attention that card xvx states that any discrepancies must be corrected prior to further flight.

Title: A FOKKER 100 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH #2 ENG THRUST REVERSER DEFERRED AS INOP IN CONFLICT WITH A ROUTINE CHK JOB CARD.
Narrative: AT APPROX XA00, I WAS NOTIFIED BY THE SUPVR THAT ZZZ WOULD BE CALLING FOR AN MEL AUTH TO DEFER THE R-HAND THRUST REVERSER PER MEL 78-01 ON THIS ACFT. THE REASON GIVEN WAS THAT THE JOB CARD XVX CHK HAD FAILED, BUT SINCE 25 HRS REMAINED UNTIL THE 'B' CHK WAS ACTUALLY DUE, WE WOULD DEFER THE THRUST REVERSER FOR UP TO THAT TIME. THE MEL WAS ISSUED, BUT I DID NOT CHK THE JOB CARD MYSELF. UPON MY ARR AT WORK THE FOLLOWING EVENING, IT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTN THAT CARD XVX STATES THAT ANY DISCREPANCIES MUST BE CORRECTED PRIOR TO FURTHER FLT.
