Narrative:
Because of forecast turbulence into den, I briefed the flight attendants before departing smf of the need to be seated early into den. En route, I made 4 PA announcements, to passenger and flight attendants, of the time seatbelt sign would be on. Flight attendants were further reminded on the interphone and given a specific time to be cleaned up, stowed and ready to be seated. 3 mins prior to encountering moderate turbulence I made announcement to be seated. 2 flight attendants were slow to move to their seats and fell to floor when we encountered a sharp moderate jolt. One twisted her ankle and cracked a bone. One had a sore back. All of the flight attendants said that we had given plenty of warning and had communicated well with them, but that they allowed themselves to be distraction by passenger requests while going to their seats. Supplemental information from acn 472465: 2 flight attendants suffered injuries as result of short jolt over tomsn at FL190.
