Narrative:
We were flying from pit to yyz. Our route of flight was pit...ewc..ewc 038 060...dkk..V522.yyz. V522 is the 003 degree radial off of dkk. We mistakenly tracked outbound from dkk on the 030 degree radial. At approximately 8 NM from dkk, ZOB asked us about our heading. At that moment we realized what had happened and made an immediate left turn to reintercept V522. There was no conflict that we were aware of. We were dealing with a minor mechanical problem at the time.
