Narrative:
All preflight, taxi and takeoff checks were accomplished and normal. We were on a STAR and had commenced climbing. Suddenly, we heard a loud air rushing sound. Almost simultaneously, the cabin interphone rang. While picking up the phone, I checked the pressurization and airflow. Both were normal. At about this point we got an EICAS message and an overhead discrete light both announcing a problem with the right forward door. The interphone call was from a flight attendant confirming our cockpit indications. The next few mins were very busy with checklists, communications and procedures. An uneventful landing was made, repairs were effected, an overweight landing inspection was made and we were back underway within 1 hour.
