Narrative:
Bolts not inspected with 10X magnifying glass. Work card calls for visual inspection of cone bolts per maintenance manual. Maintenance manual calls for (recommends) to do both a visual and an ndt inspection if the engine is removed from the aircraft. Maintenance manual reference abcd and abce signed off by supervisor as not required -- falsifying aircraft records. Inspector X was asked to void out the reference, asked not to write items up again, and was threatened if these items are written up again, the inspector would be disciplined and written up for insubordination.
