Narrative:
This part was sent to vendor for repair of an attached component (wxvx). Vendor over sprayed an area on the wvwv forward of stage 4 on the seal fins. The damage was reported by vendor to air carrier engineering as being on the 3RD stage knife edge (wrong area). A technical variation request was made from this erroneous report and was submitted to rolls-royce. A technical variation was granted. When the mistake was found a 2ND technical variation request was made (feb/fri/00) and submitted for the correct area and was also granted. A notice of corrective revision was generated later (jun/tue/00) by me to accompany this technical variation.
