Narrative:
The meat and cheese crew meal plate was spoiled. I suspect that it was the turkey on the plate that was rancid. This presented a potential health hazard to one of the pilots if it had been consumed. Fortunately, the #1 flight attendant caught it and did not serve it to the flight crew. The #1 flight attendant also wrote it up on his flight debrief form.
