Narrative:
We were cruising at FL330 and given a crossing restr of FL290 70 mi north of szw. There was also some WX right at szw. We programmed the descent. Then we were discussing the route of flight we wanted to take to avoid the WX at szw. When center called and asked if we would still be able to make the crossing restr, we told them we would not be able to and apologized for the mistake. They gave us a different altitude and a vector off course.
