Narrative:
We had descended and leveled at FL240. After the altitude alerter went off at approximately FL247.8, we regained our altitude to FL240. The autoplt had been maintaining 100 ft plus the selected altitude for 3 legs. It apparently deviated a little more than 100 ft in this instance.

Title: A DC9 FLC ALLOWS THEIR ACFT TO CLB BACK UP OUT OF FL240 TO FL247 PT 8 BEFORE THE ALT ALERTER BROUGHT THE DEV TO THEIR ATTN 18 NM NE OF JFK, NY.
Narrative: WE HAD DSNDED AND LEVELED AT FL240. AFTER THE ALT ALERTER WENT OFF AT APPROX FL247.8, WE REGAINED OUR ALT TO FL240. THE AUTOPLT HAD BEEN MAINTAINING 100 FT PLUS THE SELECTED ALT FOR 3 LEGS. IT APPARENTLY DEVIATED A LITTLE MORE THAN 100 FT IN THIS INSTANCE.
